The Flying Dollar Ranch is proud to offer an exciting new opportunity of weekly art lessons and art summer camp! Students will learn to draw and paint from life around the ranch: animals, landscape scenery, and still life. They will also learn to use different techniques with charcoal, pencil and watercolors. Students will learn to mix colors and shade using light, medium and dark values. The class and camp is instructed by professional Anne Weary, a "Plein Air Landscape Artist" and certified teacher. Anne's art work is represented and sold by Valley House Gallery in Dallas. She also has art work in several permanent collections in Texas museums.
 
Drawing and painting materials for beginning art classes and camp will be provided except for a sketch book and paper. Students need to bring a good multi-purpose paper drawing sketch pad.  Students should dress appropriately and wear sun screen and bug repellent when needed. Outdoor chairs will be provided but students can bring their own fold up chair if they would like.
 
Weekly classes are on Thursdays 4:45-6 pm is 2nd-6th graders. 6:15-7:30 is 6th-12th graders and adults. One four week session is $75 which includes materials (except for sketch pad). Drop-ins are $20 per class. To register, please contact Anne directly at 214-534-8863 or anneweary@hotmail.com
